    Advertising measurement

Advertising measurement is optional. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland (and when we can’t tell where you are) we ask first and only measure after you choose Allow. Elsewhere it is on by default and you can turn it off at any time under Ad choices (site footer or below); browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are never measured by default. When on, we send Meta public page and plan views, finishing the /start quiz, creating an account there, checkout starts, and your first paid subscription purchase.

These events may include public page paths, advertising click and browser identifiers, your IP address, browser information, purchase amount and currency, and hashed email and account identifiers. We send each event from our servers as well as from your browser, under the same event ID so Meta counts it once. The IP address from when you open checkout is kept only until your purchase is reported, or for at most 2 days if you don’t buy. Hashing lets Meta match an event to an account; it does not make the information anonymous. Your browser also connects to Meta directly when it sends a browser event.

We use these events to measure our ads. We do not send VPN traffic destinations, VPN access keys, proxy credentials, private dashboard URLs or authentication details.

The opt-in and advertising attribution expire after 30 days. Withdrawal cancels queued purchases and removes stored advertising identifiers. Completed delivery records retain invoice identifiers to prevent duplicate reporting; matching payloads are removed after delivery. Information Meta has already received is subject to Meta’s privacy policy.

Use Ad choices below to decline or withdraw. When signed in, withdrawal also covers choices linked to your account. If you are offline, browser tracking stops immediately; reconnect to finish saving withdrawal for queued server events. You can use and purchase DansVPN without opting in.
